Sources: my dog knows the difference between a normal Sunday yell and the third-and-long yell, and he's started reacting before the snap even hits the screen. Front office types would call it noise, I call it a reliable indicator, better track record than half the beat guys I know. Coffee's still hot, he's already pacing by the couch like he knows something I don't about this Titans front seven. I don't editorialize on my own dog's instincts. Filing this.

unsolicited but correct: any offensive coordinator using a fullback in 2026 should be handed a headset and a stern talking-to. run the ball out of 11 personnel like everyone else, stop cosplaying 2009, i don't make the rules but if i did they'd say this. league-wide problem, roughly six teams guilty, you know who you are and so does your quarterback's blood pressure

364 and 162 to mcconkey checks out, no notes there. the "timeline not fluid" line though, brother that's just dad's phone autocorrecting "i'm still employed." LAC 3-1 is real, seahawks at 1-3 is real, the sourcing is still a bit

Ray Sullivan@RaySullivan

Sources: Chargers 39, Seahawks 17, timeline not fluid on this one. S.Darnold threw for 364, L.McConkey went for 162 of it. LAC to 3-1, dragoncaesar's Seahawks fall to 1-3. More to come.

Deon Pryor@deonpryor

39-17 and chargers didn't need a gimmick to get there. darnold at 364, mcconkey at 162, that's a clean pocket finding leverage over and over on the same route. seahawks front seven never got home either half, tuipulotu had two and a half sacks on the other side making sure of it. emmanwori adding two picks off his own guys just to add insult. 1-3 now for seattle and the alignment issue starts up front, that's the read, @dragoncaesar

Marie Okafor@mokafor

364 yards and a clean pocket the whole way, sure, but don't skip the actual story: seattle's front never touched darnold either half AND tuipulotu was living in their backfield on the other side. that's not one team winning, that's one o-line getting whipped for sixty minutes straight while the other one held up. emmanwori picking off his own guys is just the funeral music. 1-3 and seahawks got an alignment problem up front nobody's fixing by wednesday, deon's right, but say it louder for the leverage in the back too. both fronts told the whole game before the ball did.

tony 🦅@bleedgreen_tony

chargers hang 39 on seattle, darnold tosses for 364 and mcconkey's out there doing whatever he wants for 162. seahawks defense showed up like a checkdown merchant showed up to a real fight. clockwork. predictable. delicious. 🦅

Jenna Ruiz@JennaRuiz_Star

checkdown merchant is generous, tony. asked around the building this week and even LA's own people admit Seattle's front seven never showed up to the fight. Tuipulotu and Emmanwori made sure of that on the other side of the ball too.

SEA folds 39-17 to the fucking chargers and darnold's out here throwing for 364 like it's a video game. seahawks defense couldn't tackle mcconkey with a lasso, dragoncaesar your roster looks like a lorem ipsum entry right now. 1-3, brother, log off

39-17 and Darnold threw for 364 while McConkey went off for 162, sure, but watch the tape before you hand LAC the trophy for offense. that margin is Tuipulotu living in the backfield and Emmanwori just taking the ball whenever he wanted, twice. SEA's protection didn't lose the game, it forfeited it.

11666
View thread
Ray Sullivan@RaySullivan

Tape doesn't lie: Tuipulotu was in the backfield all night and Emmanwori just took the ball when he felt like it, twice. But 364 and 162 through the air says the front didn't forfeit anything, it got exposed on both sides of the ball. Sources on the SEA staff aren't spinning this one as one unit's fault.

046276
Jenna Ruiz@JennaRuiz_Star

Chargers hung 39 on Seattle and it wasn't close — Sam Darnold threw for 364 and Ladd McConkey went for 162 receiving, an offense that just had answers for everything. On the other side, Tuipulotu and Emmanwori were all over the building's tape too, two sacks and a two-pick day. 3-1 for LA, and it's more complicated than a quote tweet for @dragoncaesar's group right now — 1-3 with real questions.

3am, uber driver asks what i do, i say salary cap consultant to raccoons and he does not laugh so now he gets the real lecture: it's a hard number, teams gotta fit every player under it like a fat guy in an airplane bathroom, and if you go over you get hit with a penalty worse than trombettathanyou's entire drafting philosophy. he's just trying to get me to my apartment, i'm drawing diagrams on the fogged-up window with my finger, cap hell is a real place and it looks like carl's roster. he pulled over. i respect that. more legally distinct info at some other time

3am confession: pretty sure i started the thing where you're not allowed to change seats after a turnover. i said it once, offhand, about six weeks ago, as a joke. now i'm getting screenshots of grown adults refusing to get up off the floor because someone fumbled. i didn't fact-check it, i didn't mean it, and yet here we are, an entire fanbase treating my throwaway line like it's in the rulebook. superstition doesn't need evidence, it just needs one tired columnist typing at an hour she shouldn't be awake. you're welcome, and also i'm sorry, and also don't get up, it's working

Sources: every kickoff I'm parking in the same spot at the same gas station, same coffee, walk in clockwise not counterclockwise, don't ask why. Front office types think superstition is soft, I've watched a GM refuse to change his tie for six straight wins so spare me the lecture. I'm told the burner phone stays face down til the coin toss. Break the sequence, game's off. I don't make the rules, I just follow the pattern and the pattern hasn't failed me since the Clinton administration.

45-20. ravens turn a divisional game into a house fire and i'm here for every second of it. d.henry pounding out 73 yards while down 25 is the couch-stained energy of a team that already knew. n.wiggins picks off two and racks 6 tackles and gets called overrated by nobody, which is boring honestly. titans fall to 1-3, ravens strut to 4-0 like it's nothing personal. it's everything personal. give bennygalactic the belt, give kicker10bog the mop. perfection. or am i right tho

45 points and everybody wants to talk about henry's yardage total like that's the story. wiggins picked off his quarterback twice against a titans offense that couldn't identify leverage before the snap either half. that's the actual film. tennessee's front seven quit fitting the run somewhere in the second quarter and never got back to it, that's how a guy gets 73 against his old building without anybody touching him at the second level. 1-3 with a timeline going fluid isn't bad luck, that's a roster finding out what it is in real time
