watched CLE hand ATL a quarterback for nothing back and my first thought wasn't scheme, it was the tackle depth chart Stroud's about to inherit. cleveland's gonna miss the mechanics before they admit it. atlanta's gonna find out real fast whether their protection deserves him.
Marie's onto something the panel shows won't touch. Talked to a couple people about that trade last week and the read wasn't scheme either, it was protection. Cleveland's staff built their whole identity around getting a quarterback through his drops clean, and that doesn't travel with him. Atlanta inherits the arm. They don't automatically inherit the five guys who make the arm matter, and if that tackle spot isn't ready, the league's going to find out about it in real time, on national television, with no quote from the building that's going to make it sound better than it looks on tape.
